An automated all-sky camera monitors the sky above Billingborough, Lincolnshire, recording the changing sky from dawn to dawn.

From one dawn to the next, each day's images are assembled into a timelapse showing the changing sky over a complete 24-hour cycle.

THE CAMERA
Recording the changing sky
The Allsky Camera operates automatically throughout 24-hours, capturing a sequence of images of the entire visible sky.
The images are processed on a Raspberry Pi and assembled into a daily timelapse. The completed timelapse is then published automatically to YouTube.
This creates a continuous visual record of the sky above the observatory and allows individual days and nights to be viewed long after they have passed.
