THE CAMERAS
Watching the sky in real time
The observatory uses automated cameras to monitor the sky above Billingborough throughout the day and night.
The Allsky Camera provides a continuously updated view of the entire visible sky, while the observatory live stream provides a live video view from the site.
The solar image provides a near-real-time view of the Sun from NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory, allowing current solar activity to be seen alongside the observatory's own cameras.
More live camera systems may be added to this page as the observatory develops.
