Billingborough Observatory.

Welcome to Billingborough Observatory — a small, independent observatory in Lincolnshire dedicated to exploring, photographing and sharing the night sky.

From deep-sky astrophotography and planetary observation to meteor detection and all-sky imaging, the observatory combines traditional amateur astronomy with modern cameras, automation and citizen-science projects.

The observatory is also home to an automated meteor detection station, contributing observations to international meteor networks and helping to monitor the ever-changing activity of our night sky.

This website documents the equipment, projects, observations and discoveries made from Billingborough, as well as providing a window onto the stars through live cameras, images, timelapse recordings and other astronomical projects.

Look up. There is always something happening in the sky.
